PS5PCEM is an experimental emulator written in Zig: native guest execution, RDNA2 shader translation, Vulkan rendering, and a Windows launcher. 5 of the 13 tested titles have been played through to the end.

What exists today
PS5PCEM runs guest code natively, translates RDNA2 shaders to SPIR-V, and presents through Vulkan. A growing number of tested titles reach gameplay and several are already completable, but compatibility, performance, graphics, audio and stability still vary by title and by hardware.
x86-64 guest code runs natively on Windows with ELF/SELF loading, relocation, module linking, TLS, firmware HLE, savedata and contained-fault diagnostics.
Stateful AGC command-stream execution feeds a growing RDNA2-to-SPIR-V shader pipeline covering both graphics and compute workloads.
Resident render targets, image alias tracking, timeline scheduling, typed storage images, texture detiling, depth/stencil and MSAA reach a Vulkan swapchain.
Host audio, H.264/AAC playback through FFmpeg, Sony controller HID support, XInput and keyboard fallbacks, and launcher-managed input profiles.
Test results
Every result below was observed by the project maintainer on an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti test host. Playability and completion reports were confirmed on September 8, 2026.
